According to the blog, a 14-year pound baby was stamped and delivered by the United States post office between the years 1914 and 1915. In the few months of this mailing, a new regulation came under enforcement. A ‘no human’ declaration was signed by the postmaster general. It was then mentioned that the children at a much lower age would be no longer delivered as some health issues may occur while delivering. Subsequently, about 5 to 10 children were documented to be delivered between 1914 and 1915.
The longest such a delivery took a trip of about 721 miles trip. It was of a six-year-old girl delivered in 1915 who traveled from her mother’s home to her father’s home in Christiansburg, Virginia.
