Doing creative things is something that fascinates most of us. Mainly during our spare time, we do prefer doing something different to either pass out the time or make ourselves happier. But there are some instances where we can find some people doing some unique things that may keep us totally by surprise. Earth Sandwich

One such instance has been noticed when two-person made a sandwich of earth. We would learn about the fact in this article in more detail.

Making of an ‘earth sandwich’.

Two different persons belonging from Spain and New Zealand are known to have created an “Earth Sandwich”. They placed the slices of bread on the two portions of the earth’s surface where half of the planet is completed with the help of a stranger.

As per the reports being revealed the sandwich was made measuring all the latitudinal and longitudinal directions. Further, the altitude and depth were correctly measured to give the correct shape for making a sandwich of earth. The precise points on both sides of Earth were appropriately leisurely and pieces of bread were accordingly kept.

Explanation regarding the fact.

The two-person behind the accomplishment of this task was Etienne Naude from Auckland and American artist Ze Frank. Both of them mentioned that it took nearly one year for both of them to find each other across the globe.

After coming in contact the two met at a decided location and planned to make the fact of earth sandwiched come true. Earth Sandwich

More regarding this experiment.

An American artist Ze frank was primarily credited for having created or stepped into making the earth sandwich. He was the main person behind the idea of organizing two bread slices over the two points of the earth being Spain and New Zealand in the year 2006.

Both the man behind the ask revealed that it was a hectic task for them to manage the bread keeping due to the twelve-hour time difference. Further, there were many other things to arrange and analyze to make this task happen.

Struggle behind the achievement.

To accomplish this task, Naude had traveled a distance of a few hundred meters at a public spot whereby the half portion of the earth was marked. This Spanish region was nearly 11 kilometers from the preplanned destination. Naude used a topmost region of the range laser cutter to design twenty slices of bread. After this, he used one of these slices to mark the exact location on the Earth. On the other hand, Naude’s friend (acting like his counterpart) used nine bread slices of markless bread to cover up the Earth’s spot exactly on the other hemisphere. Some of the other attributes regarding this fact are mentioned as follows:

  • The two locations marked as the opposite poles on Earth were named the antipodes. This term was otherwise used to designate New Zealand. This was so-called because New Zealand lay in the proximity of the United Kingdom.
  • As per the Atlas report, nearly 15 percent of regional acreage is antipodal to the other land.
