Many places are gracious enough to give you an amazing view of the environment. One such best place is the Russky bridge. It depicts the true picture of a bridge standing in heaven.

All surrounded with the clouds during the daytime in winters, it seems all covered with clouds. Let us have a glimpse of a bit more about this striking bridge.

About the bridge.

This Russky bridge is located in Vladivostok, Russia (specifically in Primorsky Krai). This walkway bridge connects the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula region of the city (lying in the Eastern Bosphorus strait) and the Russky Island. Having a crucial span of approx. 3,622 ft (1,104 meters), the Russky pass holds the honor of being the “longest wire-stayed passage or bridge in the world”. Also, it is ranked the second-highest tower after the Millau Viaduct, France (885.82 feet). This incredible bridge has a beautiful design that is based upon two different factors that include:

  • A pilotable passage depth is up to 160 feet (50 meters).
  • With a short coastline space to cross the bridge with a specified location i.e, about 1,600 yards (1,460 meters).

Some of the harsh weather conditions interpret the construction site of the bridge as follows:

  • Waves blow to a height of approx. 20 ft (6 meters).
  • Temperature differs from –24 to +99 °F (–31 to +37 °C).
  • A thickness of 70cm thick ice slab is also observed.
  • The winds brought up by storms could pour up to 130 km/h (36 m/s).

This bridge was built in 2012 to serve for the Asia-Pacific Economic cooperation (a conference hoisted on Russky Island at Far Eastern Federal University campus). However, was completed by July in the same year. It was on September 3, 2012, when the Russky bridge was inaugurated by Russia’s PM Dmitry Medvedev.

  • Width of this bridge: 97 ft (29.5 metres)

  • The breadth of the bridge’s walkaway: 78 ft (23.8metres)

Even though many critics regarding its construction and development were put forward, the bridge has managed to attain a special place for tourists. It has a glorious past with a little extremity during its inauguration period.
