There are a large number of records mentioned in the Guinness book of world records ranging from different fields and activities. But some will make you doubt your consciousness. About the lady.

Halima Cissé is a 25-years-old Malian lady. She holds a record of giving birth to nine babies at once. It was in one of the hospitals in Morocco where the lady was earlier detected to carry seven babies in her womb. But later to the doctor’s surprise, a total of nine surviving children were successfully delivered. After the efficacious delivery, the government at Mali shifted the lady under special care. Post-incident reaction.

Once the lady gave birth to nonuplets, her husband came forward to show his utmost happiness. He assured the media about the good health of their babies of which five were girls and four were boys. Moreover, he mentioned that they did know about only seven children as per the detected scans after ultrasounds. But their happiness went to a different level when they heard about a total of nine children being born.

The Guinness world record.

There have been several Guinness world records being set by several ladies from time to time regarding giving birth to several babies. Some of them are mentioned below along with the year of their record.

  • Nonuplets in two different regions of the world were recorded in the year 1971 (Australia) and 1999 (Malaysia). But the record kept no value in the book as all the nine babies born in both the sets did not survive.
  • Further, another lady belonging to the United States gave birth to eight babies in 2009. She was the last lady before Halima to set a record for the most offspring delivered at a sole delivery to live. The babies of Nadya Suleman have now become 13 years old. All of these babies were conceived with the help of in vitro fertilization process.

Hearing about this surprising event, Fanta Siby (the health minister of Mali) stepped forward to congratulate Morocco’s medical team for the “happy results”.The medical director Prof Youssef Alaoui told the news about the critical condition of the case. He explained, “The case was extremely rare and exceptional”. He mentioned that this historical delivery required a total of 10 doctors along with 25 paramedics to successfully assist and deliver the nonuplets.

After a long-term operation, all the babies were positively delivered. All of these children weighed between 1.1lb and 2.2lb i.e, 500g to 1 kg. To keep their health even more stable all of these were kept in incubators for nearly 2-3 months.

Happiness to a different level.

Showing their happiness over this great event in their lives, Adjudant Kader Arby and Halima wished a lot of thanks to Morocco’s hospital and the doctors. The couple is still residing in Morocco with a couple of their daughters. Arby revealed that they are happily living together and are not at all worrying about their family’s future. According to the couple, it is the only god who blessed them with these children and so will take care of them.
