The Japanese café- Kayabukiya Tavern.

The Kayabukiya Tavern is a Japanese eatery that is traditionally styled in the city of Utsunomiya (located north of Tokyo in Japan). Being beautifully designed this cafeteria is known as the sake-house by many people. Kaoru Otsuka, the possessor of this eatery loves his two pets unconditionally. This relationship is so strong that Otsuka believes the two macaque monkeys are more than even human beings. With this, he has kept these two monkeys as the waiters in his restaurant. The two beloved monkeys of Otsuka look pretty enough to fascinate visitors and make them come again and again. Along with their work, they have unique names. The first monkey named “Yat-chan” is twelve years old. He used to get dressed up with an upper shirt and little shorts on the bottom. He has to take drink orders from the customers and deliver the list to patrons’ tables. Another monkey is younger than the first one. His name is “Fuku-chan” and is four years old presently. He has the responsibility to bring hot towels to the people enjoying the restaurant’s food to clean their hands. He does it both before the people are having food and after it. This younger macaque has now got experience in his job. He has been doing this job with perfection for the last three years. On the other hand, the elder one is known to be more experienced because he has been doing this job for a very long time.

Monkeys Brought Beer, Food And Napkins To The Tables.

Along with their service for a long time, both of the monkeys have now become favorites of many regular customers. They used to give boiled soya beans to them as their tips for their unique service. Moreover, they d get this tip kind of thing from a lot of people in a day that does not require much additional food to get their tummy filled up. Apart from their work, the owner out of his love has provided a most suitable environment for them. It is inspected that it is the primary requirement there to ensure proper behavior with the animals in there. There are certain rules and regulations made for animals in Japan. According to these norms, the two monkeys are allowed to do their jobs for only two hours a day. It is due to this reason, the number of visitors entering this cafeteria is so large during these two hours of the day.

Moreover, the restaurant has got fortunate enough to have got featured as a prize for being the winners of this episode of the second season of a Japanese game show. Also, a documentary has been made by  Pierre Huyghe, an artist about the two monkeys belonging to Tavern. However, this restaurant was known to have unrestricted after the 3/11 tremor and tsunami. No matter what but these monkeys still belong to their owner with great affection amongst three of them.
