Cheating: a criminal offense for China’s students!

As per some sources, the government of China has brought about a new law considering cheating in exams as a crime. Subsequently, the students trying to cheat during their exams would have to face a jail term of approx. seven years in China.

However, to be enforced from November of this year, China is ready to take strict action during the exams. The jail sentence will not only stop the cheating action but would also help in making the students more disciplined towards their studies. As per the law, even any guardian involved in the process would also be extremely penalized.

Recently, a report in state-run China Radio International (under Press Trust of India) revealed that ”The revised illegal law, which specifies that ones who aid in underhanded will be condemned to three to seven ages in jail and face consequences.” Law For Cheating In China

Also, it is mentioned in the law that the individuals trying to imitate while the conduct of examinations shall be imprisoned by police without any official investigation. Once heard of this, nearly 14 cases from southern China’s Guangdong have been stated for the exam violations which included 9 as for cheating.

Step for enhancement of education’s quality.

The step of making a law against cheating could be considered as a positive aspect to raise the standard of education in China. It may enhance the quality of education to an improved level. With the fear of getting punished, the students would try their level best to gain knowledge and focus more on their studies so that they can gain marks in the examination.

Since no option would be left for the students apart from learning the syllabus, the law would indirectly help in increasing the intellect of students. Thereby, it could be considered a good step towards developing a better quality of academics in the country. Further, the law will promote a sense of self-dependency for the siblings. Comparison to the previous scenario.

In the previous period, the students were involved in many exam-related frauds. This did not only deteriorated the education system but also demoralized the students in different aspects. Previously, the students were punished via warning, disqualification, and dismissal from universities or institutions.

With this, the copying offense did not stop and students continued to cheat and copy in their exams. However, to prevent this action, the government of China took a step forward to eradicate this typical act by enforcing a new regulation. Law For Cheating In China

The entrance test is known to be a means to get acknowledged the exact intellect of a student. But since the heating means existed on a large scale, the idea of taking entrance itself did not work well. Thereby, the law is considered to have a better effect on the edifying credentials of scholars in China.
